This is an intricate fine-line plate by Lucy Lewis.  She was one of the great Matriarch potters of the past century. This plate is made using white Acoma clay and painted with bee-weed, a plant used to create the black.  The front of the plate has a single star, made up of a variety of sections and lines.  It is signed on the bottom, “Lucy M.  Lewis”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  Definitely a classic and a piece of history!
