Lonewolf, Rosemary “Apple Blossom” – Long Neck Jar with Rain and Cloud Designs (1976)

1"w x 2"h

$ 225.00

This is an early jar by Rosemary Lonewolf.  She learned to make pottery from her father, Joseph Lonewolf.  Not only is this an early piece, but one of her few black-fired vessels. The jar has a long neck and a round body.  The designs were etched into the clay before it was fired.  The jar has a cloud and rain design arond the body of the piece and a rain design around the neck.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “A. B.” for Appleblossom.  While Rosemary no longer makes many traditional style pieces of pottery, her miniatures remain a classic!
