Lonewolf, Rosemary “Apple Blossom” – Seedpot with Green Lizard
$ 500.00
This is an intricately designed seedpot by Rosemary Lonewolf. She learned to make pottery from her father, Joseph Lonewolf. This piece is fully polished. It is etched with a Mimbres-style lizard that extends from the top over the side. Its tail circles around the side of the piece. Surrounding the lizard, she etched small circles. The circles always took more time, but give the appearance of sand. The various color of green and white are additional clay slips. The seedpot is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Apple Blossom”. While Rosemary no longer makes many traditional style pieces of pottery, her miniatures remain a classic!
