Lonewolf, Rosemary “Apple Blossom” – Seedpot with Skunk (1974)

1.75"w x 1.75"h

$ 450.00

This is an early seedpot by Rosemary Lonewolf.  She learned to make pottery from her father, Joseph Lonewolf.  This piece is fully polished.  It is etched with a medallion on the front. There is a single skunk, with some flowers.  On the sides, there are cloud designs.  The lighter red areas are where Rosemary etched away the polished slip, but not deep enough to etch into the tan of the clay.  The seedpot is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Apple Blossom”.  While Rosemary no longer makes many traditional-style pieces of pottery, her miniatures remain a classic!
