Lonewolf, Rosemary “Apple Blossom” – Small Bowl with Arrows (1974)

1.5"w x 1"h

$ 250.00

This is an early seedpot by Rosemary Lonewolf.  She learned to make pottery from her father, Joseph Lonewolf.  This piece is fully polished.  It has a star on the top and arrows around the sides of the piece.  All the sgraffito was done before the piece was fired.  The lighter red areas are where Rosemary etched away the polished slip, but not deep enough to etch into the tan of the clay.  The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Apple Blossom”.  While Rosemary no longer makes many traditional-style pieces of pottery, her miniatures remain a classic!
