Rebecca Lucario is known for her delicate and intricately painted pottery.  This plate is very intricately painted.  In the center is a fine-line star design.  Around the rim of the plate are interlocking butterflies painted with two different colors of clay along with the black (bee-weed).  It is a complex and flowing design around the surface of the piece.  Note the incredible precision of the painting.  Although it is a smaller plate, the design is visually dynamic.  It is signed on the back, “R. Lucario”.
