Rebecca Lucario is known for her delicate and intricately painted pottery.  This plate is very intricately painted.  In the center is a fine-line star design.  Surrounding it are tightly painted star and rain designs within a rainbow. The outer band has rain, star, and cloud patterns painted in diamond shapes.  Throughout the plate, the designs interconnect and draw the eye across the surface.  The piece is painted with clay slips for the red and the black is bee-weed.  It is a complex and flowing design around the surface of the piece.  Note the incredible precision of the painting.  Simply visually dynamic.  It is signed on the back, “R. Lucario”.
