Lucas, Natashia – Bowl with Seed and Flower Designs (2000s)
6"w x 3"h
I bet you are wondering who this is!?!? It is Natashia Lucas, the daughter of Steve & Yvonne Lucas. It is one of the very few pieces she made of traditional Hopi-Tewa pottery. While she no longer makes pottery, she said it was one of the few she made. It is coil-built and painted with bee-weed and polished red clay. It has a seed and flower design. The bowl was traditionally fired to create the blushes on the surface. It is signed, “Tashia Lucas” along with a Mudhead Katsina. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
