Adelphia Martinez was a daughter of noted San Ildefonso potter Juanita Gonzales. This is a larger piece of her pottery.  It is fully polished and incised with a cloud design around the rim. The bowl has a lid that fits perfectly on the top.  There is an incised band around the center of the finial.  Both were fired a deep black coloration.  It is signed on the bottom “Adelphia”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  Sadly, Adelphia passed away this past year in 2022.
