This is a small bowl by Maximiliana “Anna” Martinez.  She was a sister of Maria Martinez.   It is coil-built and stone polished.  This is one of the few small pieces we have had by Anna.  I purchased this piece about a decade ago from a collector here in Arizona who was a school teacher and had acquired the piece directly from Anna.  Her collection was primarily miniatures.  This small bowl is fully polished on the inside and outside.  It was fired a glassy black.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Anna”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
