This is an exceptional jar by Maria Martinez. It has a sharp shoulder and sloping side. The jar was made and polished by Maria Martinez and painted by her daughter-in-law Santana. It has 28 feathers encircling the piece. It was fired to a silvery black or gunmetal coloration. It is signed on the bottom, “Marie + Santana”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. Definitely a classic!
