This is a classic jar by Maria Martinez.  It has a round shoulder and a short neck.  The entire surface is highly polished. The jar was made and polished by Maria Martinez and painted by her daughter-in-law Santana. It is painted with a rain and cloud pattern that is repeated around the shoulder.  The jar is signed on the bottom, “Marie + Santana”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair but some minor surface scratches.  Definitely a classic!
