Vickie Martinez (b. 1967) is a daughter of Barbara and Manuel Martinez.  Her aunts are Glenda Naranjo and Frances Salazar and her brothers are Sammy Naranjo, Chris Martinez, and Manuel Martinez.  She began making pottery in 1983.  This bowl is deeply carved and highly polished.  There is an avanyu carved into the clay encircling the bowl.  Around the rim of the bowl are clouds.  The bowl is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Vickie Martinez”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
