Vickie Martinez (b. 1967) is a daughter of Barbara and Manuel Martinez.  Her aunts are Glenda Naranjo and Frances Salazar and her brothers are Sammy Naranjo, Chris Martinez, and Manuel Martinez.  She began making pottery in 1983.  This seedpot is deeply carved and highly polished.  There are 11 deeply carved feathers.  The seedpot is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Vickie Martinez”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
