This is a classic seedpot by Grace Medicine Flower.  It is from 1983.  It is fully polished and fully designed in a central medallion. There are two rabbits along with flowers.  The rabbits are highlighted with white clay while the flowers are blue and green.  There are feather and cloud patterns in the sky.  Grace only used various colors of clays for a short time as she was given them by her brother, Joseph Lonewolf.  When she ran out, she couldn’t get them from him again.  The use of color on her exceptional designs always adds additional dimension to the pieces.  All the sgraffito was done before the piece was fired. The piece is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Grace Medicine Flower”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
