This is a small water jar by Grace Medicine Flower.  It was made in 1993.  This is one of her most iconic shapes with a round shoulder and elongated neck.  This jar is fully polished and fired red.  The designs are etched into the clay before it is fired.  This jar has a butterfly as the main design.  The top of the shoulder has a cloud and rain design.  Near the base is another band of etched rain and lightning.  The jar was traditionally fired.  It is signed on the bottom, “Grace Medicine Flower”.   It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
