Kimberly Medina (b. 1973)  is a granddaughter of Sofia and Rafael Medina and a daughter of Elizabeth and Marcellus Medina.  She is a sister of Marcella Medina.  She began making pottery in 1987 and continues a multi-generation legacy of Zia pottery.  This jar is coil-built and painted with various clay slips.  The jar has a Zia bird inside a Zia sun on each side.  They are separated by rain and cloud designs.  The jar has a lid with a turtle with a bird on top.  It is signed on the side, Kimberly Medina.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
