Marcellus Medina is known for his contemporary painted pottery. The jar is made by his wife, Elizabeth Medina. Marcellus has painted on the surface with acrylic. The jar has a very realistic Zia Eagle Dancers. Each of the dancers is separated by a classic Zia cloud and feather design. The contrast of the colorful designs on the white background is striking.
