Rochelle Jewel Medlock (b. 2005) is a daughter of noted potter Autumn Borts-Medlock. The piece is coil-built from native clay, carved, polished, and traditionally fired. The melon bowl has eight ribs carved into the clay.  Each rib is fully polished, and there is a matte carved space between each rib.  The bowl was fired a glassy black.  We are excited to have the first pieces by this young potter who is continuing a multi-generation legacy in clay!
