Medlock, Rochelle Jewel (20 Years Old) – Polychrome Jar with Trout Design

2.5"w x 2.5"h

$ 250.00

Rochelle Jewel Medlock (b. 2005) is the daughter of noted potter Autumn Borts-Medlock. The piece is coil-built from native clay, carved, and traditionally fired. The jar is a cylinder shape, and it is incised with a trout that encircles the piece.  The body of the trout is painted with green and red clay slips.  The area surrounding the fish is slipped with white clay and textured to give the appearance of the waves. It is a creative piece with precisely cut designs.  It is signed, “Rochelle Jewel”.  It is exciting to see her continue a legacy of clay!
