JoAnn Million is a sister of noted potter Denny Gutierrez.  She was a teacher and would make pottery each summer for Santa Fe Indian Market.  While she no longer makes pottery, here pieces were exceptional in their detail and precision. As well, all her design work was done before the piece was fired, creating a strong visual contrast between the matte and polished surfaces.  This is one of her more complicated pieces with a flower on the top, a deer, turtle, rabbit, quail, sunface, moose, and deer and bear tracks.  It is a charming and intricate piece!  It is signed on the bottom in the clay.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
