Ty Moquino is a son of noted potter Jennifer Moquino.  At only 15 years old he is making some creative pottery!  We had some of his “Angry Birds” years ago when he was 6 or 7, belive it or not!  These two new ones, the black one is polished and then etched and the beak is matte.  He looks a bit angrier than the white one.  The white bird is slipped with a white clay and then has a mica red beak and painted eyes.  They are simple pieces, but charming!  They are each signed on the bottom.  Ty won the “Best of Youth” award at the Heard Museum Indian Market in 2017 for one of his masks!
