This long neck water jar is by Helen “Featherwoman” Naha.  The jar has a round shoulder and an elongated neck.  The jar is slipped with white clay and then painted with bee-weed and red clay.  The rim of the jar has a rain design.  Around the shoulder are four eagle tails extending downward.  It is a classic balance of form and design.  The jar is signed on the bottom with a feather, which was Helen’s hallmark.  The jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
