Namingha, Jocelyn Quam – Bowl with Corn and Cloud Designs (1997)

6.25"w x 3.5"h

$ 600.00

Jocelyn Quam Namingha is the wife of noted potter Les Namingha.  This bowl is coil-built, stone polished, and painted with bee-weed (black) and polished red clay areas. The bowl was traditionally fired, which created the blushes on the surface.  It is thin-walled and there are clouds and corn designed painted onto the surface.  It is a varied design that changes as the bowl is turned.  It is signed on the bottom, “Jocelyn Quam Namingha”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
