Joshua Namingha is a son of noted potters Les and Jocelyn Namingha.  Over the past several years he has been making clay bears.  Each bear is different and they are much in the style of Zuni bear fetishes.  However, as they are clay, this bear has various slips and glazes to create the coloration.  This bear is holding a fish.  The bear is painted brown, and the fish is tan.  It is a charming piece.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “JRN”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
