Les Namingha has, over the years, creatively changed his pottery with new painting and technical styles. This is a classic storage jar shape. Looking down from the top is a Hummingbird katsina design seen on the pottery of Namepyo of Hano and Dextra Quotskuyva. Les has made the design more colorful. On the sides there are designs often seen in the embroidery of shawls and cloaks worn by Hopi women. It is a detailed and colorful jar! The jar is signed on the bottom, “Les Namingha”.
