Les Namingha has, over the years, creatively changed his pottery with new painting and technical styles. This jar has a round shape and sloping sides.  The jar is entitled, “Mimbres” and it was made in the 1990s. The jar has a high, round shoulder and an asymmetric rim.  The jar is fully polished red.  There is a Mimbres insect and spiral painted in clay on the top shoulder. The remainder is plain and highly polished.  There is a simple elegance to the shape, polish, and design on the jar.  It’s a great piece to hold.  The jar is signed on the bottom, “Les Namingha”.
