Elton Tewaguna Nampeyo is a great-grandson of Nampeyo, grandson of Fannie Polacca Nampeyo, and a son of Richard and Elva Tewaguna Nampeyo.  His sisters Adelle Lalo Nampeyo, Miriam Tewaguna Nampeyo, and Neva Polacca Choyou Nampeyo are also potters.  This bowl is round in shape.  It was painted with bee-weed (black) and highlighted with polished red areas. The bowl has a flute player, turkey tracks, cloud, and rain designs.  It is a complex pattern for the size.  It was traditionally fired creating strong blushes on the surface.  It is signed on the bottom, “Elton. Nampeyo”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
