8"w x 4.5"h

$ 1,500.00

Leah Nampeyo was a daughter of noted potter Fannie Nampeyo. This bowl is a classic shape with a wide shoulder and a fully painted design. It is a migration pattern which is painted around the body of the piece. This is a design which was made famous by Leah’s grandmother, Nampeyo of Hano. The bowl was traditionally fired so there are blushes and fire-clouds around the surface which add to the overall appearance of the jar. It is signed on the bottom, “Leah Nampeyo”. The bowl is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
