Neva Nampeyo is a great-granddaughter of Nampeyo and a granddaughter of Fannie Polacca Nampeyo.  She is the daughter of Richard and Elva Tewaguna Nampeyo.  Her sisters Adelle Lalo Nampeyo, Neva  Nampeyo, and brother Elton Nampeyo, are also potters.  This open bowl is coil-built and stone polished.  It is painted with bee-weed and red clay slip. The bowl is fully polished on the inside and outside.  There are cloud and rain designs on the outside of the bowl painted with bee-weed and clay slips.  The piece was traditionally fired to create slight surface colorations.  The bowl is signed, “Miriam Nampeyo” and a corn plant for Corn Clan.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
