This is a striking etched water jar by Dusty Naranjo.  The piece is coil-built and fully polished and fired a brown coloration.  The jar has a matte neck and the remainder is fully polished.  The jar is fired the distinctive brown coloration and then etched with designs.  This jar has seven horses etched into the clay.  Many of them are Appolosas or “painted ponies”.  They are surrounded by dragonflies and geometric designs.  There are additional dragonflies on the neck of the jar.  Not only is the shape creative and it is highly polished, but the design is complex and fills the entire surface of the piece! It is signed, “Dusty” on the bottom.   It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
