Flora Naranjo began making pottery in the 1930’s and was amazingly creative in form and designs. In the 1980s she made pieces in collaboration with her daughter Glenda Naranjo (b. 1953). This jar is coil built and has a triangular neck and mouth. The piece is carved in the neck with cloud and rain patterns. It was fired a deep black. The jar is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. It is signed, “Flora & Glenda Naranjo” on the bottom in the clay.
