Naranjo, Flora – Jar with Carved Feathers and Triangular Neck (1970’s)
It is not often that we come across pottery by Flora Naranjo. She began making pottery in the 1930s and was amazingly creative in form and designs. This long neck jar has feather carved into the neck of the piece. As well, the opening of the jar is triangular in shape. The entire piece is fully polished. The jar is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. It is signed, “Flora Naranjo” on the bottom in the clay.
