Florence Aguilar Naranjo was a daughter of noted potters Rosalie & Joe Aguilar and a granddaughter of Susana Aguilar. Her brother, Alfred Aguilar, is also a well-known potter at San Ildefonso Pueblo. This is one of her classic black-on-black pieces. The piece is highly polished and painted with a mountain design. The jar is signed on the bottom, “Florence”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
