Naranjo, Jarren – Large Clay “Sitting Bear” with Turquoise Necklace and Opal Eyes

Jarren Naranjo (b. 1996) is a grandson of Flora Naranjo and a son of Sammy Naranjo.  Each piece is made from native clay, stone polished and traditionally fired black.  Jarren said this is one of the largest sitting bears.  The bear is made from clay, and it is sitting upright on its back legs.  His bears have a very sculptural appearance with angular faces.  Note how the entire piece, even the bottom, is fully polished!  There are inset opal eyes and a turquoise and shell necklace!  The bear is signed, Jarren Naranjo.
