Louis Naranjo the husband of noted potter Florence Naranjo. He was originally from Santa Clara. This is a clay turtle that is polished and painted black-on-black. There is a feather design on the shell of the turtle. The piece is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Louis Naranjo”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.

Louis Naranjo was from San Ildefonso Pueblo but moved to Cochiti Pueblo. This is a clay turtle that is polished and painted black-on-black. There is a feather design on the shell of the turtle.
