Thomas Natseway is one of the most renowned miniaturists in Pueblo pottery. Rarely does he make a piece that is over 1″ tall or wide! This miniature jar that is in the shape of an owl. The lid is the owl’s head and the body has carved wings and carved “feathers” on the front. The piece is made from white clay with red clay accents on the wings. Definitely a complex design for the size. It is signed on the bottom, “Thomas Nasteway”.
