Thomas Natseway is one of the most renowned miniaturists in Pueblo pottery.  Rarely does he make a piece that is over 1″ tall or wide!  This is one of those amazing pieces in both design and form that makes one realize why he is so well recognized for miniatures. The jar has a high shoulder and the rim is carved into the shape of a flower. The edge is highlighted with green clay and the interior of each of the petals is also painted with clay slips!  The sides are a complex design painted with bee-weed (black) and clay slips. There are birds, flowers, each with amazing detail.  For the size, it is exceptional in design and color.  The piece is signed, “Thomas Natseway”.
