Dolly Joe Navasie is best known by her name, White Swann.  She is the daughter of Eunice “Fawn” Navasie and a sister of Dawn and Fawn Navasie.  This large, wide-shoulder jar has a small neck.  The top is painted with bee-weed (black) to create the design. There are four rainbows with four hummingbirds below them.  The designs are highlighted with a deep red clay.  It is very detailed in design.  The jar was traditionally fired to create the blushes.  It is signed on the bottom, “White Swann”.   It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
