Fawn Garcia Navasie (b. 1959) is also known as “Little Fawn”. She is a daughter of Eunice “Fawn” Navasie and a sister of Dawn and Dolly Navasie. This jar is coil-built and stone polished. The jar has a wide shoulder and elongated neck. The top of the neck is painted with a complex mountain design using bee-weed (black). The jar was traditionally fired, so blushes are on the surface. It is signed on the bottom, “Fawn” and a deer track, which is how she signed her pieces after her mother, Eunice “Fawn” Navasie (1920-1992) passed away. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
