Grace Navasie is a daughter of noted potter Joy “Frogwoman” Navasie. This jar has a wide, sharp shoulder and a short neck. The jar is painted with bee-weed (black) and red clay slip which is polished in areas. Above the shoulder are mesa and cloud designs. Around the sides are larger birds and bird tails. The jar is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed on the bottom in the clay with the Frog Hallmark and a “G” for Grace.

Grace Navasie-Lomahquahu (b.1953) is a daughter of noted potter Joy "Frogwoman" Navasie. She learned to make pottery from her mother and continues to make pieces using the similar white slipped clay. Her works are painted with beeweed and native clay slips, and then native fired. She signs her pottery with a frog hallmark and a "G".
