Grace Navasie is a daughter of noted potter Joy “Frogwoman” Navasie. This seedpot is coil-built and slipped white. It is painted with bee-weed (black) and red clay slip which is polished in areas. There are lines for rain, circular rain clouds and red mesa designs. The piece was traditionally fired to create blushes on the surface. It is signed on the bottom in the clay with the Frog Hallmark and a “G” for Grace.

Grace Navasie-Lomahquahu (b.1953) is a daughter of noted potter Joy "Frogwoman" Navasie. She learned to make pottery from her mother and continues to make pieces using the similar white slipped clay. Her works are painted with beeweed and native clay slips, and then native fired. She signs her pottery with a frog hallmark and a "G".
