Wallace Nez is known for his intricately etched potter.  He began to make pottery when he was 12 years old.  He won first place ribbons at the Santa Fe Indian Market in 1999, 2000, and 2001 and Best of Division at the Museum of Northern Arizona Market Show in 1999.  This wide seedpot is from 1995. It has four eagle in the center, each with star designs.  There is one larger eagle flying in its own panel section.  The designs include a variety of eagle feathers, which are each unique and detailed!  At the edge of the seedpot are very detailed etched feathers.  The piece is signed on the bottom “Wallace Nez” with the date of 1995.
