Andrew Padilla was a son of noted Laguna potter Gladys Paquin. He learned to make pottery from his mother. This is a classic tall white melon jar with 12 ribs. Each rib is pushed out in the clay in an undulating manner. The outside is slipped and polished white. The jar has a terraced cloud lind. Both the jar and the lid were traditionally fired and is signed, “Andrew Padilla”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
