Kylie Patricio (b. 1999) is a 25-year-old daughter of noted potter Robert Patricio.  This jar is coil-built and thin-walled. It has a classic Acoma water jar shape and a high shoulder and short neck.  The jar is painted with bee-weed, giving it a modernist “black-and-white” appearance.  The jar has large butterflies on all four sides. Each is separated by rain clouds and plant designs. It is a creative use of form and design.  The jar is signed, “K. Patricio”.  It is exciting to see such excellent work by young Acoma potters!
