Kylie Patricio (b. 1999) is a 23-year-old daughter of noted potter Robert Patricio.  This jar is coil built and thin-walled. It has a classic Acoma water jar shape and a high shoulder and short neck.  The jar is painted with bee-weed and two colors of clay.  Robert Patricio called this classic Acoma design, “Morning Mist”.  He said the black designs were like the mist seen through the morning rays of the sun.  It is an eloquent description of this design!  Kylie has tightly painted the design to accentuate the shape of the jar. The jar is signed, “K. Patricio”.  It is exciting to see such excellent work by young Acoma potters!
