WOW!  This is a spectacular large coil-built seedpot by Robert Patricio. The seedpot is round in form and fully painted.  The piece is entitled, “Chaco Walls,” and the design was inspired by the walls at Chaco Canon.  This is one of the first times that Robert has painted a fine-line piece with red clay instead of the black bee-weed. The visual result is stunning!  The varied designs and all the thin walls in red against the white clay background are dramatic.  It is difficult to decide if it is better to view from the side or the top!  As always, Robert is pulling from traditional design elements to create new and vivid imagery!   The seedpot is signed, “R. M. Patricio”.  Robert has won Best of Pottery at Santa Fe Indian Market twice, most recently in 2022.
