This is the first time Robert Patricio has brought in true miniatures to us! Each piece is under 3″, making it a true miniature. This jar has a classic water jar shape. It is painted with bee-weed and clay slips. The jar has a very complex design with clouds, rain, mesas, and stars. Note all the thin lines and even the checkerboard pattern around the shoulder of the jar. For the size, it is extraordinary!! Robert is one of the leading traditional Acoma potters working today, evidenced by his stunning forms and complementary designs. The jar is signed on the bottom, “R. M. Patricio”.
