$ 350.00
Garnet Pavatea is one of the great names in Hopi-Tewa pottery. She created traditional Hopi pottery but was also well known for her corrugated pieces. This canteen is a classic example of her painted pottery. The canteen has a round body, elongated neck, and handles. The entire piece is fully polished. The is a Hopi bird on each side. Each bird has the red clay for the head. The shape and design work beautifully on this canteen. It is traditionally fired, so there are some fireclouds. It is signed on the bottom, “Garnet Pavatea”.
