Leah Antonio Pedro (2008) is a granddaughter of noted potter Frederica Antonio.  Frederica has been teaching her to make pottery and she is only17 years old!  Leah said this was the second bowl that she made and painted with bee-weed (Black).  It is an open bowl that is painted on the outside.  The designs are painted vertically and horizontally, and then the squares are filled in.  The design on this piece is more complicated with a swirling cloud pattern in the squares.  It is just a bit more complicated than then first one that we had, so it is exciting to see improvement!  The bowl is signed on the bottom, “Leah Pedro”.
